RAILNET INTERNATIONAL INSPECTS TRACK FROM BAMAKO, MALI TO DAKAR, SENEGAL

Railnet International has been working to inspect 1200km of the Dakar-Bamako Line in Mali and Senegal. Director of Engineering Boetie Zandberg met with several officials along the way.

The video shows that there is much work to be done, rail alignment, drainage and vegetation issues will all need to be address. Railnet International will be working to bring the current narrow gauge line up to a condition that will allow us to transport equipment needed from the Port of Dakar to Bamako to begin work on the project.

The inspection began in Bamako, Mali with Railnet CEO Don Kress, Director of Engineering Boetie Zandberg, the President of Mali Chamber of Mines Mr. Abdoulaye PONA, and Dialla Konate a Railnet offical among others. Railnet International Director of Engineering met with several officials in both Mali and Senegal along the way to discuss the condition of the line, culverts, and bridges. Plans are now being developed on how to move forward.
